Because we make a charge, your first thought is probably, ‘Oh, this is just another vanity publisher.’ Here’s why we’re not:
- Because we are small, we are able to give you individual attention. This includes an initial free appraisal of your first three chapters
- We promise to answer every submission with this supportive information about how your work could be developed, even if we choose not to accept it. We do not accept every submission simply to make money
- If we feel your book has promise, we will ask to see the full manuscript. If, after this, we all agree to proceed, we will give you:
- advice on story development and any weak areas
- a line edit which can be repeated until the book is as good as it can be
- a proof read – more than one if necessary
- collaborative cover design (though you are, of course, free to commission a designer to produce the cover at your own expense)
- ISBN number
- deposits in all of the Legal Deposit Libraries
- publication as quality paperbacks and e-versions, using modern Print on Demand technology. This will result in your book being available worldwide via online platforms and by order from book shops
- Many publishers offer confusing packages, many of which don’t include vital elements. We believe that all the elements of our package are crucial to the production of a good, marketable book. And, because of this belief, our price includes all of the above with no omissions. If you feel you don’t want to undertake the whole process, with our decision being final, we suggest you would be better seeking another publisher
- Now the big question: what will it cost you? The charge for this complete package, all elements of which are essential, is £799 for books of up to and around 80,000-90,000 words. For books over 90,000 words, we are happy to negotiate. Again, where we differ is in the royalty split. To offset the cost, you will receive 80% royalties until your investment has been recouped. Once that has happened, the royalties’ split changes to 50:50
